Title: A long ways away from home
Prompts: Rainy days and Ealdor
Word Count/Size/Length: 200
Rating: PG
Pairings (if any): MERLIN, ARTHUR
Warnings: N/A
Summary: Merlin has a crush on a customer
Merlin hated rainy days. It meant that those were the days his favourite customer didn’t come into the shop. He still didn’t know his customer’s name, and he always paid with cash so there was no way of knowing.
All he knew was that the man had amazing hair, and just eyes that Merlin could get lost in forever.
He also had no idea if the man was gay. It didn’t matter thought, did it? Because it didn’t matter if the customer liked him back because then maybe the fantasy would be shattered and it was easier to live in a world of his own making than get rejected in the real world.
--
He had started working at the shop two days after he’d moved to Camelot from Ealdor. It was the best decision he’d ever made – leaving Ealdor, not really working in the shop. But, if he didn’t work in the shop then his favourite customer wouldn’t be his favourite customer. So yeah, two accounts of excellent decision were in order.
Now only if it would stop raining and the hunky blond would walk in. He always came alone too, so that made Merlin believe that he was single. Also, no wedding band. Always a good sign.
No, Merlin reminded himself.
Don’t make it real.
